lonewolf what a colorful name. he he he.
Why will you go for replica since you can get the real deal. budget? I think price for the original versus replica has small difference when youm talk about price. If you want real deals for vietnam attires pm me and I'll give my contact number. your from cebu?

Marion, Perfect VN collections...(finally my 1st post here ;D).. and glad to see a real VN geardos in Sugbo. pangimbitar mo sunod mag VN shoot mo ha ...I have different VN varieties of tiger sets, 1956 era correct webbings, matching short brimmed tiger boonie hats, ERDL and few VN classic gas guns....I am good to go for a VN SEAL shoot...I can't believe Lord is into VN too...(if indeed it was Lord I saw in the other thread)...he sure looked like an authentic US SF advisor...d**n! I'll be home next weekend for xmas holidays...either we do a riverine VN era ops in Talamban (H20 Turf) stream or San Fernando if you don't mind the trip... ;D I have 2 UDT Life Preservers if needed for additional details...the manufacturer and design of SEAL/SF LPU-28 UDT life preserver didn't changed since VN era til date anyways.... Here's a sample pic from the past: By the way, I have a VNMC Tigerstripes repro with era correct variety (but wrong era buttons ), Med-Reg size brandnew....if anyone interested here don't mind the button details, I can sell it cheap... you can find similar flat VN era type buttons in the market...just replace them with that...

@ stuka - At first glance of your pic, i thought i saw Jonas Blane of "The Unit" hehehe... Welcome to our site sir! Feel at home! hehehe I need to cover my face and exposed hands with war paint as I am too bright especially at night...a total opposite of Jonas Blane character. Here's another shot Re: Vn era "Green Face" waterborne night ops recon radioman impressions: Don't worry about the 30 rounders mag, its experimental with the SF during the Vn era...also I already replaced my XM with a closer to the era correct type e.g. w/o the Windage Sight adjustment knob.... Btw, I just landed in sugbo this pm, so anytime you guys are ready for VN shoot, let me know before we will all be overwhelmed by parties during the holidays.

Finally, got to visit a mil shop in Tokyo area last saturday and got myself another VN TS variety; Type II Dense Blue Tigerstripes set but this time made by Sessler. When I and my Japanese colleague finally found this shop after referring to the address and location (thru my Japanese colleague mobile phone GPS) in the very crowded Americaya street in Toyko area, all they have are mostly modern various military stuff and when I ask several shopkeepers about Vn tigerstripes, they always pointed me to their modern tigerstripe uniforms on display. I was quite frustrated and I noticed one storekeeper keeping very silent all the time and avoiding me. I refused to give up after travelling all this way and something about this one shopkeeper is unusual so I asked my Japanese colleague to talk to him. She did and this shopkeeper took something from a pile of papers and there, he gave my colleague this printed paper with a map direction to their other shops. Said this is where I can find what I'm looking for! And when this was translated to me, I bowed and say thank you! And out of this crowded streets , we found their other shop in one isolated/uncrowded street and yes! There, one can see real militaria buffs going thru piles of stuff. Some shoppers even brought with them pictures and printouts of all sorts of correct references from WWII, Vietnam eras, etc from all sorts of world militaria. And on the corner, I saw what I'm looking for, but only few VN era TS sets left. Luckily, I still found last pair of my size! So now, I seemed start to believe one of the friend who said once that Japanese prefer to have all the good stuff only for local markets and very specific local customers! I was very happy and then, off we go to Akihabara (Electric Town) for electronics and anime stuff.... Look, after getting my VN TS (sorry for the crappy photo):
