Mission 1: Following the Ambush attack on our Forces, Special Operations Command immediately launched a surveillance mission in the area using UAV's. Hours later, one of the said UAV's was reported missing but our "insiders" confirmed the UAV crashed in a site heavily guarded by insurgents. A satellite scan of the area confirms the location of the downed UAV. Mission 2: This is a recovery mission. Enemy Forces will be transporting their loot recovered from our forces ambushed earlier. All effort and resources will be utilized on this mission in order to recover sensitive hardware. A military grade computer holds vital information regarding the entire operation of our forces including detailed information of our bases and detachments in the province. The enemy forces are now on their way to decode a known computer technician who is also known supporter of the insurgency in the province and try to decipher contents of the computer. Mission 3: Enemy forces recently abducted one of the top CIA decoder in order to train their local computer technicians in deciphering sensitive and vital content of the recovered military computer from the ambush. Mission 4: The Joint Chiefs have voiced out their disccontent for the prolonged capture of the insurgents causing hevy human and financial strain on our side. It is always believed tht to kill a snake, one must cut off its head. Our final target this time is the insurgent leader himself. All possible risks must be analyzed as the commander in chief has given full authority in order to eliminate or capture the leader, Abu Rimar. Details will be given to the team once available. Gentlemen, heads up, we're going to war....

Perspective from an NSW8 (Echo Team) operator
Evo 1. Ambush The execution went 99% as planned. Time lapse - 2 min and 47 seconds. I cant think of any glitch when the ambush was made. The assault team and the blocking force did their job very well. Just as we anticipated, conducting an ambush on a single or a convoy of vehicles was just too simple. Reinforcement indeed existed and the blocking force of Miko, Edoy, Frans, Cecil, Eric and Nelson succesfully eliminated the threat from that reinforcement. The assault team of Sam, Manol, yours truly, Tolits, Romy and Doy did very good job as well in quickly decimating the occupants of the van who as also expected were there to run for the bushes to engage as in atrocious gun fight. Unfortunately for us Team TAC of Dumaguete beat us by a slim margin of only TWO!!!! !@##$ seconds. Needless to say we have to give credit to Team TAC for doing a better job than we did. Evo 2. UAV I don't want to say too much on this because i screwed up when i approved Manol in pulling out that circuit board at the side of the plane when I knew it should have been a black hard disk that we were to retrieve. Tactically, the other mistake I made was when I didn't emphasize perimiter security before going to that UAV. That was the reason why i was very edgy in getting out of the site right away. I knew i had no one guarding my right flank ahead of me up the slope from the river that's why i was thinking how vulnerable I was to enemy fire once they spot me. If I can remember correctly when we did Pipeline last year on the same spot, perimter security was made priority before the execution was made. This is not to mention the heavy firepower we unleashed while operating on that Pipe. But Team Sagay deserve a big applause for a a 4 min completion of the evolution.
Evo 3. Capture Abu Himas I have to say that everyone was doing very well but i think the key to overcoming that ship was to spread our force in as many entry points as there were while looking for Abu. The rules of engagement didnt prohibit us from climbing up to bridge through the side of the boat. This means that we didnt have to go through the stairs to assault the second level. A narrow alley or a stair is always a kill zone for an alert opfor. That's where we lost many operators. But from the outside i saw how Cecil took down as many as 4 opfors at the bow which was I think was 30 meters away. When Avie mistook Abu for a hostile OPFOR, I cant blame him given the time regulation and the appearance of Abu who looks like an OPFOR. In the end it was really a lesson learned.
Evo 4. Eliminate all hostile If there was any reason why we were slow it was because we were not familiar with the structure of that fishing boat. We were used to playing speed game and the tight place not to mention the heavy and bulky gears we had restricted our movement aboard the ship. But finishing it at 8 minutes, i'll say is not bad.
To NASL,
I have to say what you cooked for us was better than you menu you gave us last year although I miss the site for the evo 3 and 4 we had last year. The ambush was one adrenaline pumping stage of the game and i say your know how on IEDs is very very impressive!!! But boat assault compensated for the absence of the wharf and the warehouse and it was one experience we have to cherish. How I wish we could offer you the same experience should we decide to create our own milsim. It was a standard in itself.
I have to say we had so much fun, we will always look forward in getting an invitation from you guys!!! Congratulations to all the winners and participants, the marshalls, the organizers, the opfors, the caterers and all who made Broadsword a very succesful event.]
on a side note,
i just realize that the first inter-island airsoft tournament probably in the entire philippines happened between cebu and bacolod players way back in 1994 right in Bacolod City. Tiguwang na gyud diay ta ani. And i hope we can make establish this as a tradition among airsoft enthusiast.
To NASL,
You guys always rock!!!

Sorry for the lack of perimeter security Gands. I slipped on the way to the site inhibiting my movement. But that's still no excuse for not giving you proper cover. Sorry for not pulling my load. I'll push harder next time. Evo 3. Capture Abu Himas I have to say that everyone was doing very well but i think the key to overcoming that ship was to spread our force in as many entry points as there were while looking for Abu. Sorry for the carelessness going in. I should have kept my head straight going in. I forgot to watch my corners and ended up getting shot in the leg due to my carelessness. The gear did inhibit movement but still the place was just too tight to move effectively. d**n AK jammed up, thanks Frans for handing me a new gun on the site. But again sorry for my carelessness of not properly clearing the engine room from the top before entering. It was a huge and stupid mistake to make. But in the end... It was still alot of fun. =)

For Spitfire:
1. You can set us up a Pillbox and have as many OPFORS as you can send. That will be fun!
2. Just Kidding, Prisoner Transport/Capture will do!
3. Seriously, we want to blow up the ship and make a run to the zodiac boats!
4. We want to call in an airstrike to fix the problem really quick! We could just have blown ABU RIMAR from the beach!

4. We want to call in an airstrike to fix the problem really quick! We could just have blown ABU RIMAR from the beach! Yeah I was wondering why we didn't just blow the boat up. haha. Plant some C4 on the bottom of the boat or call it in for an air strike from the beach. =) But a huge firefight would be sweet. Something reminiscent of the last moments of Evo 3 in Broadsword 2.

would also love to have a hand to hand combat frans.. hehehehe! Im sure Miko would want to engage on this also.. Hahaha! I'm sure that would be interesting but that'll be pretty rough and painful for the opfor. I wouldn't mind just man handling captured opfor though but I a full contact engagement would be safe for either party. Unless we have a special ring fight event. hehehe. =)
