Hi all, I got a small accident sunday, while building a submarine. I cut myself in the leg with a Stanley knive. My own fault, I used to much force and it slipped of the cutting pad into my leg... result: a lot of blood and a cut of 3 cm deep and 2 cm long, 1 hour hospital and 4 stitches. Anyway - I'm uploading the USS San Francisco, circa 1944. A very nice and beautiful boat. The Trumpeter kit is delivered without PE and there were apprx 250 pieces to be glued. It took me around 3 weeks to complete. On my website you can read the complete history of this boat - it did over 20 battles during WW2 and survived the Pearl Harbor attack. Here is the link: www.argomodelships.com/Poppe_Model_Ships/Ships/Pages/USS_San_Francisco_%28CA-38%29.htmlEnjoy the pics :-) L1090435 by indici, on Flickr L1090432 by indici, on Flickr L1090437 by indici, on Flickr L1090440 by indici, on Flickr L1090441 by indici, on Flickr

@ conchology: i think from now on switch to nt cutters, 3cm deep is quite a cut. hope you heal well.

@ P.O.W. Yeah, bad cut, my wife was not happy. Now I always put Jeans pants and really pay a lot attention when cutting.

@ conchology: i'm guessing you were trying to cut resin parts (the weird sub)? for thicker parts you could use a modeling saw. a dremel tool for sanding (wet the stone a bit
so you don't inhale the dust). anyway whatever you where doing, hope you don't get cut again.

@ P.O.W.: I was working on a new Airfix kit - the HMS trafalgar submarine - my god, such strong plastic, it was almost like working with resin... thanks for the tip on the dremel tool for sanding.
