I started a few days ago on the Admiral Panteleyev. It will be a slow build as I've some family members visiting me. It seems to be a nice detailed kit. Radars are in PE. The plastic looks nicely molded. 2 helicopters included. This trumpeter kit is an apparently newly released box (2009). The instructions are clear and a color schematic is added for easy painting. P.O.W.: is that tamiya tape you're using to strap the hull together? pricey. hehe... Yes, it is - easy to use and strong grip if well applied. Afterwards, I recycle the tape to be used for painting purposes, I used it to mask the sides of the decks when spraying the orange paint, shown in one of the pictures below. No waste ;D The Kit is very nice - almost 400 parts to be glued and the boat is 47 cm long. It is my first russian boat, i'm working on. The colors are very different from what I'm used. Very light grey, I mixed Tamiya 1/5 marine blue + 2/5 white + 2/5 sky grey to get the correct grey for the russian boat. The orange is a standard airspray orange and the deck is standard brown airspray, both from Tamiya. @ P.O.W the grey lines are painted = sky grey, mixed with white and blue, the white circle are stickers from the kit. Good quality stuff, no air bubbles visible.
@ bolayog yep - it is a very nice experience, only the parts don't fit very well... a pity.

@ P.O.W. the chopper is out of proportion with the boat - it doesn't fit, I preferred the pictures without. I'll upload a photo soon with chopper. You will see that hangar is way to small for the body of the chopper...
@ m249s thx

@ conchology: in the shot from the top the chopper doesn't look over-sized. anyway, great wip as usual! you probably have a fleet by now.
