This thread is for you to post pictures of your killer gear and equipment. You can post pictures of your gear, and full impressions.
Please keep non-gear speak to the minimum.
Remember:
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE GEAR!
Please post pictures of your BEST quality gear, we prefer that you base your kit on some sort of unit, and that your gear is unified, with no extreme combinations (e.g. no BDU's and white sneakers)

Some Coyote Brown gear spawned at my local post office, all real deal of course, by Specter Gear. Pardon the crappy picture, my K750i phone doesn't fare well in low light.

Image removed in accordance to rules.
Will post a SWAT impression in it's place later. Hopefully that will fit the requirements. If not, I'm going for the terrorist, insurgent and Easter Block look.

My impression of a Designated Marksman, still needs work tough. Yup, no offense but, from your uniform, i guess you would wanna look like a Marine Designated Marksman. Never saw marines use Protec helmets though. at least get an 18-inch barrel mod SPR w/ a long forend and fixed stock for that impression, and a MICH helmet. sorry but we're kinda strict with gears and equipment in this thread ..... William can fill in the rest of your shopping list.

Yes, Francis is correct, there's a lot of nit-picking involved if you want a correct USMC DM kit. Firstly, you need a correct helmet. Unfortunately, it's the USMC Lightweight Helmet, made by Gentex Corp, which is quite hard to get hold of. The LH looks like the PASGT, so you might be able to pull it off with a PASGT helmet. You can see that it has different straps and suspension than the PASGT and MICH. I just checked the Gentex site www.gentexcorp.com/default.aspx?pageid=1090, they sell the suspension as well (probably available from other places as well), so if you get a PASGT + the upgraded suspension you'll have a really good LH-look-alike. And don't forget a helmet cover and NVG mount. Secondly, you need an Interceptor Ballistic Armor vest (IBA), which is standard issue. Guarder makes an okay replica of it in Coyote Brown. Slap on some MOLLE pouches in the same color, and you're pretty much good to go. Thirdly, for a weapon you can use the M16A4 as basis, since DM's on squad level are issued the SDM-R and the SAM-R. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army_Squad_Designated_Marksman_Rifle en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Marine_Corps_Squad_Advanced_Marksman_Rifle

The gear is okay,
a standard PASGT helmet with the correct straps will do it. and gotta do something with the gloves though. . . its so airsoft-ish

|
|
Post by Kageyama on Dec 17, 2006 17:57:04 GMT 8
Well, the gloves aren't for airsoft. The one most use are copies of the gloves I use.
But yeah, I'm probably going to get Nomex gloves.
The gloves there are just pretty rare, found it in Japan, military surplus.
And the helmet, I'll probably change the straps.
Or I'll just go for the terrorist look, not to hard anyway.
